This group focus on R&D of high strength micro-alloying steels, low-alloy steels, alloy steels, stainless steels, and novel advanced structural steels including high strength pipeline steel, ultra-high strength maraging steel, high strength martensitic stainless steel, high nitrogen stainless steel, 9Cr% heat resistant steel, low activation martensitic steel and high strength spring steel to establish optimized relationship of their composition-microstructure-mechanical properties.
