Southwest Research Institute（SWRI）delegation, headed by Dr. Robert Bass, vice President of SWRI, visited IMR to inspect cooperation research activities.

Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) is an independent, nonprofit applied research and development organization. The staff of 2,900 specialize in the creation and transfer of technology in engineering and the physical sciences. The Institute occupies 1,200 acres in , and provides nearly two million square feet of laboratories, test facilities, workshops, and offices. SwRI~s total revenue for fiscal year 2004 was $399 million.
