Prof. Shuit-Tong Lee from Department of Physics and Materials Sciences, City University of Hong Kong, recipient of Lee Hsun Lecture Award, visited Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMR CAS) from 23-26 July, 2006.
On 23 July, Prof. Lee given a lecture entitled: Semiconducting Nanomaterials Research, before the lecture Prof. Huiming Cheng, Deputy Director of IMR, presented the memorial plate of Lee Hsun Lecture Award to Prof. Lee at a short ceremony.
Prof. Lee obtained his Ph.D from University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada in 1974. From 1974 to 1995 he was a senior lecturer and associate professor of Eastman Kodak Company USA. He jointed City University of Hong Kong since 1995, and was appointed as Professor (Chair) in 1996, and now he is Director of Centre of Super-Diamond and Advanced Films, City University of Hong Kong. His research fields are mainly on nanoscience and nanotechnology, organic electroluminescence and optoelectronics, organic emitting diode (OLED)
