Prof. Andreas Meyer, Director of the in Space, German Aerospace Center (DLR) visited the IMR from March 20th to 22nd, 2007. During his stay, Prof. Meyer met with Prof Ke LU, Direct of IMR, Prof. Yiyi LI, Prof. Li-Jian RONG, Head of the Department of Materials for Special Environments, and some professors working in the related research fields, toured Shenyang National Laboratory for Materials Science (SYNL) and the Department of Materials for Special Environments in IMR, and was invited to give a lecture entitled “Atomic Diffusion in Multi-component Liquid Metals”. Based on a warm discussion and deep exchange of mutual research interests and on behalf of respective institutes, Prof. A.Meyer and Prof. Yiyi Li defined the potential collaboration between the two institutes and signed Memorandum of Understanding.
