Recently, Alexander von Humboldt Foundation of Germany announced that Professor LU Ke of Institute of Metal Research, CAS has been elected for the recipient of a Humboldt Research Award, in recognition ofhis outstanding achievements in materials science and technology.

The Humboldt Research Award is funded by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and is conferred in recognition of lifetime achievements in research. In addition, the awardeeis invited to carry out research projects of his own choice in cooperation with specialistcolleagues in Germany, thereby promoting international scientific cooperation.
