At the invitation of Institute of Metal Research (IMR), Prof. Gabriele Centi from University of Messina in Italy visited IMR from May 24^th to May 26^th. During his visit, Prof.Gabriele Centi presented a lecture titled “Reusing CO₂-A key issue in strategies for resource and energy efficiency”. It was also the third lecture in“Energy and Catalysis Scientist Symposium” held by Catalysis and Materials Division, Shenyang National Laboratory of Materials Science. Active discussion was carried out between Prof.Gabriele Centi and IMR scientists after the lecture.

During his stay in IMR, Prof. Gabriele Centi visited the laboratories of Catalysis and Materials Division, Shenyang National Laboratory of Materials Science and discussed with Prof. Dangsheng Su in mutual interested research filed.

Prof.Gabriele Centi is the full professor of industrial chemistry in University of Messina, editor of the Wiley-VCH journal ChemSusChem (Chemistry & Sustainability, Energy & Materials) and Chief Editor of the Book Series Studies in Surface Science and Catalysis published by Elsevier Science (Amsterdam).

Prof.Gabriele Centi is the Former President of the European Federation of Catalysis Societies (EFCATS), Coordinator of the Network of Excellence on catalysis IDECAT.
