In order to further strengthen the cooperation between overseas Alumni&Collaborator and IMR, expand the influence of IMR in the international materials science and Engineering field, express thanks to the Chinese and foreign partners, and also strengthen the propagation of the overseas talents introduction, the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Science (IMR, CAS) held “IMR Alumni&Collaborator Reception” on March 5th during the TMS2013 meeting.
More than 90 guests attended the reception, including Prof. Niels Hansen, the Awardee of Einstein Professorship CAS, member of the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences, Prof. Larry E. Murr, University of Texas at El Paso, the Awardee of Lee Hsun Awards, Prof. D. Juul Jensen, the Awardee of Lee Hsun Awards, director of the Department of Wind Energy, Technical University of Denmark, and many other alumni and collaborators.
Prof. ZHANG Zhefeng, the deputy director of IMR presided over the reception as the host. He introduced the development and achievement of IMR, and appreciated all the guests for their support to IMR. All the guests are exciting to hear the news of 60 anniversary celebration, and gave a standing ovation. Many alumni said that they would like to make contribution to IMR’s development.
Many international collaborators expressed their kindest regards to IMR, and made future research plan with their parters in IMR to strengthen cooperation. Some overseas graduates grasped this chance to meet the scientists of IMR.
During the TMS2013 Meeting, the policy of IMR overseas talents introduction was propagated by the message board and recruitment board, the present situation of IMR was also widely spread this time.
