2013 LEE HSUN Lecture Award for Material Science Series winner, Dr. Dileep Singh, from Argonne National Laboratory, visited IMR on 26th, Sept. to 29th, Sept.
The award ceremony was hosted by Prof. WANG Jingyang. Prof. ZHANG Jian, the Deputy Director of IMR, presented the award. After that, Dr. Singh gave a report titled “Advanced Nanofluids for Energy Efficiency and Storage”. During the visit, Dr. Singh conducted in-depth exchanges with relevant researchers in IMR.
Dr. Singh is a famous ceramics expert and the fellow of The American Ceramic Society. He is now working in Nuclear Engineering Division of Argonne National Laboratory. With over 25 years of experience in the area of materials science of ceramics and metal systems, he focused on processing, mechanical behavior, and reliability of structural ceramics and composite materials. Dr. Singh conducted pioneering work in the low-temperature phosphate ceramics technology for structural and nuclear waste storage and disposal. He was the chairman of Engineering Ceramics Division of The American Ceramic Society and the 35th International Conference for Advanced Ceramic and composite. Furthermore, Dr. Singh is the subeditor of International Journal of Applied Ceramic Technology and the editorial board of International Materials Review,J. of Engg. Materials and Performance, etc. So far, he has published more than 130 academic papers and been involved in several compositions.
