The Institute of Metal Research, CAS hosted reception during TMS 2015: Annual Meeting and Exhibition on 18 March 2015.

The reception attracted more than fifty guests including the awardees of Lee Hsun Lecture Series, overseas collaborators, alumni and researchers interested in IMR. Prof. ZHANG Jian, Deputy Director of IMR, briefed the construction progress of Shenyang National Laboratory for Materials and the result of Review and Assessment of the “One-Three-Five” Strategic Planning of CAS in January. On behalf of IMR, he welcomed all the researchers involving in material sciences and engineering to work and cooperate with IMR.

Dr. Robert W. Hyers, the TMS Financial Planning Officer was also invited to the reception. He and Prof. ZHANG introduced the first International Conference on Computational Design and Simulation of Materials, which are organized by CSM, TMS and IMR and will be held in IMR on August this year.

IMR also promoted its recruiting policies of overseas talents, planning of foreign student scholarship and CDSM2015 through the recruiting table and information column supported by TMS 2015.
