The Science Counsellor of Austrian Embassy, Mr. Helmut Spitzl visited Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMR, CAS) on Sep. 9th.
Prof. YANG Rui, the director of IMR and Prof. ZHANG Jian, the deputy director of IMR attended the reception of Counsellor Helmut Spitzl. In the meeting, Prof. ZHANG Jian made brief introduction of IMR. Counsellor Helmut Spitzl introduced the scientific developments in Austria, including the scientific structure, scientific field strength and future strategic development. He also referred to the scientific cooperation history between Austrian and China, especially the research hotspots in the next 5 years (2015-2020) and the cooperation plans with CAS.
During the visit, Counsellor Helmut Spitzl visited the Graphene Lab in Advanced Carbon Division, Catalysis and Materials Division Lab, Non-equilibrium Metallic Materials Division and Technical Support Division.
