The 6th KIMS-IMR Joint Symposium on Light Alloys has been held from Sep.10th to Sep.12th in the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMR, CAS). The former director of Korea Institute of Materials Science (KIMS), Prof. Lee Yong Tae, the former deputy director, Prof. Park No Kwang and 6 researchers from KIMS attended the symposium.
Welcome speech was given by Prof. YANG Rui, the director of IMR, on the opening ceremony. Prof. Lee Yong Tae from KIMS and Prof. YANG Yuansheng from IMR presented keynote lectures. A total of 14 presentations were given in the fields of Ti alloys and bulk metallic glass, advanced aluminum alloys and light alloys. During the symposium, the KIMS delegation visited relevant laboratories and research facilities.
The KIMS-IMR Joint Symposium on Light Alloys is founded according to the General Collaborative Agreement between China and Korea governments since 2010.
