Dr. Heinz Neubert, vice president of SiemensAG, Corporate Technology visited the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMR, CAS) on Nov. 11th, 2015.

During the visit, Dr. Heinz Neubert gave a lecture of “Materials Research & Application, Manufacturing - Perspective from Siemens” and introduced the R&D activities of Siemens Corporate Technology, Research & Technology Center Materials. Prof. ZHANG Jian, deputy director of IMR briefly introduced the IMR and recent progress of Superalloys Division. Prof. LI Shujun and Dr. LIU Renci from Titanium Alloys Division presented two talks, “Titanium and titanium alloy biomedical prototypes fabricated by electron beam melting” and “TiAl alloy research and development in IMR”.

Siemens delegates also visited Titanium Alloys Division, Superalloys Division and Technical Support Division of SYNL.
