The 41st International Conference and Expo on Advanced Ceramics and Composites (ICACC’17) was held in Daytona Beach, Florida, USA from January 22 to 27, 2017. Prof. WANG Jingyang from Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMR, CAS) chaired the ICACC’17. He was the third chairman coming from outside the United States in the 41-year journey of ICACC.
The ICACC’17 continued the strong tradition as the leading international meeting on advanced structural and functional ceramics, composites, and other emerging ceramic materials and technologies. Since its inception in 1977, the prestigious ICACC has been organized by the American Ceramic Society’s (ACerS) Engineering Ceramics Division and ACerS. Since then, the conference has experienced tremendous growth in interest and participation from global ceramic communities.
