The 4th China-Japan Joint Symposium on Fatigue of Engineering Materials and Structures was held in Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMR, CAS) from August 26 to 27, 2017.
The symposium was host by IMR and sponsored by the Fatigue Branch of Chinese Materials Research Society and the Fatigue Branch of Japanese Materials Research Society.
The symposium attracted more than 300 participants from more than 60 universities and institutes in China and Japan. 24 invited talks were given by renowned scientists on the new development of fatigue property, fatigue mechanism, life prediction and measurement technology.
The first three sessions of China-Japan Joint Symposium on Fatigue of Engineering Materials and Structures were held in 2008, 2011, and 2014. As a major series which the Fatigue Branches of Chinese and Japanese Materials Research Society hold, it provides a platform for the community to present recent advances in the research of fatigue properties and to promote the practical applications.
