The recipient of 2017 Lee Hsun Lecture Series—Lee Hsun Lecture Award, Prof. Federico Rosei from Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique (INRS), Varennes (QC), Canada, visited Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMR, CAS) from April 8 to 10, 2018.
During the visit, Prof. Rosei delivered a lecture entitled “Multifunctional Materials for Emerging Technologies”. In his lecture, he gave an overview on recent developments in solar technologies that aim to address the energy challenge.
Prof. Rosei is currently the director of INRS and member of European Academy of Sciences. He is dedicated into the research of Nanostructured Materials, Surface Science, Organic Electronics and Nanoelectronics. Numerous international awards have been granted to him for his contributions such as Award for Excellence in Materials from Canadian Society for Chemistry, Rutherford Memorial Medal in Chemistry, the Herzberg Medal and the Brian Ives lectureship Award.
