The 35th SYNL Colloquium on Mechanical Behaviors of Materials was held on July 20, 2018, in Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMR, CAS).
Prof. FAN Guohua from Harbin Institute of Technology was the key speaker of the Colloquium and delivered a lecture entitled “Deformation behavior of metallic materials revisited from the viewpoint of local strain”. He introduced some new understandings about the deformation and strengthening mechanism in structural metallic materials.
Prof. LI Shujun from IMR delivered a lecture entitled “Mechanical behavior of 3D printed scaffolds of a beta-type titanium alloy characterized by interconnected porous architecture”. Associate Prof. ZHANG Zhenjun delivered a lecture entitled “Exploring the general formula of mixed elastic modulus”. Associate Prof. LIU Zhenyu also delivered a report named “Enhanced strength-ductility of CNT/Al-Cu-Mg composites through bi-modal structure design.
The SYNL Colloquium on Mechanical Behaviors of Materials is a major academic lecture series of Shenyang National Laboratory for Materials Science (SYNL), IMR, CAS. Numerous scientists from home and abroad attend the colloquium annually. It has been held 35 times since 2010.
