The recipient of 2019 Lee Hsun Lecture Series—Lee Hsun Research Award, Prof. Yutaka Ohno from Nagoya University, visited Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMR, CAS) from June 13 to 18, 2019.
During the visit, Prof. Ohno delivered a lecture entitled “Carbon nanotubes for flexible electronics applications”. In his lecture, he reviewed the recent progresses of carbon nanotube-based electron devices. And the recent works of his team on flexible integrated circuits and biosensors for wearable devices were also presented.
During his visit, Prof. Ohno also conducted profound academic exchanges with Carbon Nanotubes Group, Graphene Group and Solar Energy Conversion Materials Group from Advanced Carbon Division.
Prof. Ohno is at the Institute of Materials and Systems for Sustainability Center for Integrated Research of Future Electronics. He is dedicated in the research of nanotube’s physical properties and mechanisms. He proposes the detection of digitally phase-modulated signals utilizing mechanical vibration of cnt cantilever. He also develops plastic electronic devices based on carbon nanotube to achieve high-performance thin film transistor.
