Prof. ZHANG Shihong from Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMR, CAS) was awarded with Editorial Board Member for Special Contribution by Chinese Journal of Rare Metals on the 4th editorial board meeting held in Beijing on July 30, 2019. Prof. ZHANG was also appointed member of the fourth editorial board.

Prof. ZHANG has edited a large number of papers for the last two decades for the journal. And he has been on the editorial board since 2009. Prof. ZHANG was also appointed editorial board member of the international journal of Rare Metals of the same publishing group in 2009.

Chinese Journal of Rare Metals is a comprehensive journal, published monthly in Chinese, administrated by China Association for Science and Technology, and sponsored by the Nonferrous Metals Society of China and General Research Institute for Nonferrous Metals. Internationally, Chinese Journal of Rare Metals is indexed by American Engineering, and included by many word famous retrieval databases, like important database SCOPUS, American Chemistry Abstract(CA), British Physics and so on. It covers alloy processing, mineral processing, smelting, physical and chemical analysis of rare metals, precious metals, rare earth metals and non-ferrous metal materials such as nickel, cobalt.
