Prof. LI Bing from the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMR, CAS), has been awarded with the 2024 CAS Young Scientist Award, recognizing his outstanding contributions to scientific and technological innovation.

The CAS Young Scientist Award was established by the Chinese Academy of Sciences to honor exemplary young researchers who have made significant achievements in scientific innovation, thereby fostering an environment that encourages creativity and advancement within the academy. The award is divided into two categories: Basic Research and Engineering Technology, with each category supporting no more than ten recipients annually following independent nomination and review processes.
