The Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMR, CAS), presented its latest research outcomes at the 9th China Joint Conference of Aerospace Propulsion (CJCAP), held in Guiyang, Guizhou Province, from August 15 to 18, 2025.
The four-day conference brought together senior experts, scholars, and industry representatives from leading aerospace enterprises, universities, and research institutions across China to exchange insights on cutting-edge technologies and future trends in aerospace propulsion.
IMR’s research team on Material Friction, Wear, and Aerospace Thermal Control Service was invited to showcase its scientific achievements at the conference exhibition. The team’s displays attracted considerable attention from conference attendees, with many experts visiting the booth and expressing strong interest.
During the conference, Prof. DUAN Deli delivered an invited keynote report titled “Wear Issues in Aero-Engines and Their Tribological Evaluation,” while Associate Prof. YANG Xiaoguang presented an oral report on “Development of Aerospace Thermal Control Products and Evaluation of Material Tribological Behavior.”
In recognition of her expertise, Prof. DUAN Deli was appointed as a member of the Advanced Manufacturing and Materials Technology Committee of the China Aerospace Propulsion Association.
The conference provided a high-level platform for IMR to share its advancements in aerospace materials and tribology, strengthening its collaboration with the national aerospace research community and contributing to technological innovation in the field.
