Prof. MA Zongyi from the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMR, CAS), has been elected as an Academician of the Asian Pacific Academy of Materials (APAM). The election results were announced at the 2025 APAM Conference held in Guilin, China, from October 14 to 17.

Founded in 1992, the Asian Pacific Academy of Materials is an international organization comprising distinguished materials scientists from the Asia-Pacific region who have made outstanding contributions to the field. Its mission is to foster international collaboration in scientific research and advance the development of materials science and technology.
