On January 28, the Chinese Academy of Sciences announced the winners of the 2025 CAS Young Scientist Award. Prof. PAN Qingsong from the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was honored with the 2025 CAS Young Scientist Award.
The CAS Young Scientist Award aims to recognize outstanding young talents who actively undertake major national scientific and technological missions, courageously tackle global scientific and technological challenges, make significant contributions to breaking through key core technologies and advancing fundamental frontier research, and demonstrate the potential to grow into strategic scientists and leading talents. The award seeks to foster an atmosphere of innovation and progress in talent development across the academy. It is divided into two categories: basic research and engineering technology, which are recommended and evaluated separately, with no more than 10 winners supported in each category.
